The venue and details of how to obtain gain entry were announced on the 10th of May.[1] Three ticket competitions were held, one through Orange's website, another through NRJ's website and another through the official Muse website.[4][1] The Orange competition had 100 tickets,[2] while the official Muse website competition had 225 pairs thereof.[1] These competitions were the only way of obtaining tickets for the show.[4]

This concert marked the first live performances of I Belong to You and Neutron Star Collision as well as the return of Bliss.

Matt used the double-necked Manson guitar for the first time, while Chris used the walnut Status S2-Classic for the first time.
