Information

Announced on May 26th, 2022, Muse headlined the 2022 Rock am Ring and Rock im Park festivals together with Volbeat and Green Day. This gig took place on June 4th, 2022 and was the seventh time that Muse appeared on Rock am Ring festival, and third headlining it (last was in 2018).

Will of the People and Kill or Be Killed got its live debut on this gig. Nishe was played again after 11 years (and first time on guitar since 2008). Muse also played, for the first time, Slipknot's Duality riff after Map of the Problematique. Additionally, Bellamy's Behold, The Glove (previously known as STT Interstitial 2) was played for the first time in full, and live, with Matt playing a synth solo on a custom-made pad/screen installed on "The Power Glove", previously used as a prop on the Simulation Theory World Tour in 2019. The glove is also used to play the intro of Uprising. The setlist was leaked on Twitter the day before the show. The setlist also lists all songs which will be rotated.[8]

Rob Damiani, lead singer of Don Broco, was present at the show.

The Show

Pyro (fire) was used throughout the show. This also included a burning "WOTP" logo during the first song, with the band wearing the "masked hacker" masks and hoodies throughout the song, portraying the figures seen throughout Will of the People's album videos and artworks. A large inflatable "masked hacker" figure was set up on the stage, revealed during Won't Stand Down. It's very similar to Murph the Robot from the Simulation Theory World Tour, however it's alot bulkier and made up of three separate parts; Two arms/shoulders, and a head, attached to trussing, rotating left and right slightly.

Also similar to the Simulation Theory World Tour was Matt's LED jacket, worn after Behold, The Glove, and The Power Glove, which Matt played the song's synth solo on.

Hullaballoons and streamers were released during Starlight.
