Twin Atlantic

Twin Atlantic are a Scottish alternative rock band, based in Glasgow. Formed in 2006, the group consists of lead vocalist/guitarist Sam McTrusty and bassist Ross McNae, who are joined on-stage by their former official-turned-live only member, guitarist Barry McKenna. In 2021, drummer Craig Kneale decided to depart from the band. Since their formation, the band have released six studio albums. These are "Vivarium", "Free", "Great Divide", "GLA", "Power", and "Transparency". Their debut EP, "A Guidance from Colour", was released in 2008, after being the opening act for Circa Survive and mewithoutYou, produced by Romesh Dodangoda and recorded at Long Wave Studio, in Cardiff, UK. The band went on to build support off of Kerrang magazine, gaining enough of a fanbase for them to land support slots for Biffy Clyro and Smashing Pumpkins.

Their first album, Vivarium, was released in 2009. A year later, they supported My Chemical Romance on three dates, and in 2011, "Free" was released as their second LP. In 2012, Twin Atlantic was part of the Vans Warped Tour, while during the same year, they also supported Blink 182 and All American Rejects during their UK tour. A remix of their single, "Free", was used for the closing of the Discovery Channel's coverage of the famed 2012 Felix Baumgartner space jump, while the song "Crash Land" was used in a 2013 film called "Not Another Happy Ending". In 2014, the band released their third album, "Great Divide", also joining 30 Seconds to Mars as the opening act during the European tour. The single, "Heart and Soul", was premiered on BBC Radio 1 by Zane Lowe as the Hottest Record in the World. The track won the "Best Independent Track" award at the 2014 Association of Independent Music Awards. In 2016, their fourth studio album, "GLA", was released, while four years later, in 2020, their fifth studio LP, "Power" was out. In 2022, Twin Atlantic's latest album, "Transparency" was released.

Twin Atlantic are set to open for Muse in Glasgow, on June 23rd, 2023, together with The Warning.
