Information

In May 2022 it was rumoured that the Spanish city of Vigo will hold a Muse gig, without a given date or place. However, on 15th of June, it was confirmed, by the mayor of the city and the competent authorities, that the gig will happen on 8th September, at the Estadio de Balaídos. . Even so, no tickets were put on sale, and until late July, there were no official publications by both the band or by any ticket outlets, that the concert would take place. The show was planned to be included in the "Concertos do Xacobeo", a series of 65 events throughout the region of Galicia, with more than 300 national and international bands and artists in the lineup. By July, before Muse's confirmation, the event had already confirmed several artists.

The gig was finally confirmed by the band via social media on 27^th July 2022, with the gig also added on muse.mu. Tickets came on sale on Friday, 29^th July, at 10:00 local time, via Livenation and Ticketmaster.

The Show

This makes the third time that Muse played in the Xacobeo Festival (although this time in a different venue), after 2004 and 2010, both at Santiago de Compostela. Matt played a snippet of God Save the Queen before Hysteria to pay respect to the Queen who passed away a few hours before.
