First rumoured in June 2009,[6] Muse performed within Stade de France as part of the 2010 stadia tour. French music critic Zegut mentioned late in August the possibility of a Spring 2010 concert in Stade de France.[1][2] The concert had in fact been listed on the stadium's website since the 26th of June.[5] It was confirmed on the 22nd of November.[3] General ticket sale started on the 27th of November[3] at 10:00[7]
Soldier's Poem was played for the first time since 2008 and Butterflies & Hurricanes for the second time during The Resistance Tour. Out of the most voted songs on the official setlist polls ( Citizen Erased, I Belong to You (+Mon Cœur S'ouvre à Ta Voix), Showbiz, Bliss and Muscle Museum), I Belong to You was chosen by the band to be played at this gig.
A surprise was organized by fans. Several visuals[8] related to Muse and made with thousands of sheets raised by people were formed at the beginning of Supermassive Black Hole. After the show, a message was sent by Tom Kirk to Muse Messenger, french official fanclub :
Hi there. Yeah it was great. Brilliant show, and the signs looked great.. You saw that I put them up on the screen right? It looked brilliant. Great job. I hope to use it and put it on a DVD one day...
