The nominations for the 2010 NME Awards were announced on 25 Jan. The Awards were held on 24 February at the O2 Academy Brixton.[1] [2]
Best Guitar Riff
Plug In Baby won.
Best British Band
Muse won. Also nominated: Arctic Monkeys, Biffy Clyro, Kasabian and Oasis.
Best Live Band
Muse was nominated. Also nominated: Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian, Radiohead and Them Crooked Vultures. Arctic Monkeys won.
Best Album
The Resistance was nominated. Also nominated: Arctic Monkeys - Humbug, Kasabian - West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum, The Cribs - Ignore The Ignorant, and The Horrors - Primary Colours. Kasabian won.
Best Live Event
The 2009 Teignmouth gig was nominated. Blur at Hyde Park won.
Hero Of The Year
