Being located not-far-from Teignmouth, it was one of the venues where Muse performed the most, and is perhaps most notorious for being the place where the band started it all. In 1995, Muse also took part in the Battle of the Bands, which took place in The Cavern.<ref name="cca">

In 2016, the club suffered an accidental fire, which destroyed part of the club, with the basement, where the fire started, being severly damaged.
