This was the first time Dennis Smith, owner of Sawmills Studios, saw Muse perform.[2] Earlier the same month, after hearing of the band, Smith had telephoned in order to arrange attending a Muse gig. After hearing the band perform, he told them that he would give studio time to record an EP for release on his label, Dangerous Records, once he felt that the band had reached an appropriate level.[4]

In 2012, Wolstenholme referred to this gig in a tweet as a reply to the question whether there ever was a point in their career where they felt like they were going nowhere and were wasting their time: "maybe playing in the Camborne centre in 1995 to 3 people."[5]
