Saratoga Springs Saratoga Performing Arts Center
The Saratoga Performing Arts Center (abbreviated as SPAC) is an amphitheater, located in Saratoga Springs, New York. The venue is located on the grounds of the Saratoga Spa State Park. It has the capacity for around 25,000 people with 5,103 seats and 20,000 additional lawn spaces. The Center opened in 1966 with help by the Rockefeller Brothers Fund and the New York State with NY governor Nelson A. Rockefeller ceremonially breaking ground in 1964. The Center is summer home to the New York City Ballet and The Philadelphia Orchestra. The official name of the amphitheater's stage is "Broadview Stage".
The venue's first performance was a performance of George Balanchine's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" by the afforementioned NYC Ballet with Harry Belafonte being the first non-classical artist to perform at the amphitheater. A 1968 concert by The Doors began the tradition of bringing pop and rock acts to play the venue. As such it's hosted shows by artists like Elton John, Avril Lavigne, Prince, Gojira, Whitney Houston, Jackson Browne, Janet Jackson, Justin Bieber, Maroon 5, The Who, Chicago, Coldplay, Tina Turner and more. The Philadelphia Orchestra hosts its annual Festive Fireworks performance at the venue, which is their most well-attended performance and includes the famous 1812 Overture. A Jazz Festival, presenting up-and-coming jazz artists, is also organised each year at the SPAC.
Muse are set to perform at the Broadview Stage at SPAC on July 24th, 2026, as part of The Wow! Signal North American Tour, supported by Bloc Party and The Temper Trap.
