The Great Hall

The Great Hall is a concert hall and music venue, located on the premises of the University of Exeter in Exeter, Devon, specifically at the Streatham Campus's Forum Plaza. The hall provides capacity for 1,500 people seating and 1,800 people standing. One of the main features of the venue is a series of large windows on both sides, providing natural daylight.

The hall is used for concerts, exhibitions and gala events. Musical artists who performed at the venue include Belinda Carlisle, Kaiser Chiefs, Bob Marley & The Wailers, The Specials, Frank Turner and more.

Muse performed at the venue two times, including 1997, with one of their earliest known performances. Prior to the 2015 performance, Muse also filmed rehearsing The Handler for the bonus footage of the DVD included in the deluxe package of the album Drones. The 2015 gig was also the only gig where Moriaty, a local band, supported Muse. Chris joined them for the song "Bones", which he produced and played bass on.
