Jones Beach Theater is 15,000-capacity outdoor amphitheater, located in Wantagh, New York. It's one of the three major outdoor arenas in the New York Metropolitan Area, alongside PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel and Forest Hills Stadium in Queens. The amphitheater was opened in 1952 as "New Jones Beach Marine Stadium", designed to specifications provided by Robert Moses who also created the Jones Beach State Park. It was built on the site of the former Jones Beach Marine Stadium, which was, after years of storms and a devastating hurricane, left unsafe and was demolished in the 1940s.

During the early years, the venue was used to host musicals with bandleader and violinist Guy Lombardo performing often. The first show at the Jones Beach Theater was an operetta production of "A Night in Venice" by Johann Strauss II, produced by film producer Mike Todd. In the 1980s, the venue shifted focus towards concerts. Jimmy Buffett was a staple, playing the venue nearly every year in the summer for decades, with The Beach Boys also performing at the venue more than 30 times. Through the years, the venue saw more than 20 million concert attendees.

In 2012, the Jones Beach Theater suffered significant damage done by Hurricane Sandy, destroying the theater and flooding much of the arena's lower part. The venue reopened a year later, in 2013, after extensive renovation works, which included a $20 million rebuild. The project created over 200 local jobs.

Muse have performed at the Jones Beach Theater in the summer of 2017, during a co-headlining tour with 30 Seconds to Mars, supported by Pvris, and are set to return on July 25th, 2026, as part of The Wow! Signal North American Tour, supported by Bloc Party and The Temper Trap.
