French Films is a Finnish rock band from Helsinki, formed in 2010. The original line-up was comprised of Johannes Leppänen (guitar, vocals), Joni Kähkönen (guitar, vocals), Mikael Jurmu (bass, vocals), Santtu Vainio (synth, vocals) and Antti Inkiläinen (drums). Throughout the years, the line-up has changed, with Jurmu leaving in 2012 and being replaced by Tuomas Asanti and Max Salonen replacing Kähkönen on bass in 2014.

The name of the band was chosen when Kähkönen was speaking to Leppänen about a French foreign film he had just seen.

The band has so far released two studio albums, Imaginary Future (2011) and White Orchid (2013), one EP, Golden Sea (2010) and three singles, When People Like You Filled The Heaven (2012), You Are the Sun (2015) and Think It Over (2016).

French Films supported Muse in 2013, during The Unsustainable Tour in Helsinki.
