Dallas Dos Equis Pavilion
Dos Equis Pavilion is an outdoor amphitheater, located in the Fair Park educational and recreational complex, in Dallas, Texas. The venue broke ground in 1987, opened in 1988, and has at the capacity of 20,000. It's owned by the City of Dallas and operated by Live Nation. During its planning and construction period, the Pavilion was known as The Amphitheatre at Fair Park and opened under the name of Coca-Cola Starplex Amphitheatre. It was also called the "Starplex Amphitheatre", "Smirnoff Music Centre", "Superpages.com Center", "Gexa Energy Pavilion" and "Starplex Pavilion".
Rod Stewart was the first act to perform at the venue, with the likes of AC/DC, Bob Dylan, Huey Lewis, Def Leppard and Guns'n'Roses, amongst others, all performing within the first month. The venue also hosted concerts by acts such as Tangerine Dream, Elton John, Chicago, Cher, Tom Petty, Frank Sinatra, Depeche Mode, Spice Girls, Taylor Swift, Evanescence, Foo Fighters, Dolly Parton and more. The amphitheater also paid host to festivals like Lilith Fair, H.O.R.D.E. Tour, Edgefest, Lollapalooza and Ozzfest.
Muse were set to play the venue in 2004, whilst supporting The Cure on the Curiosa Tour, however the gig was cancelled due to Wolstenholme's wrist injury he sustained while playing football on tour. They're set to play the venue on August 14th, 2026, exactly 22 years after their cancelled 2004 date, as part of The Wow! Signal North American Tour, supported by Portugal. The Man and The Temper Trap.
