Red Hot Chili Peppers are an American alternative rock band, formed in Los Angeles, California in 1983. The band consists of vocalist Anthony Kiedis, bassist Flea, drummer Chad Smith, and guitarist John Frusciante.
Throughout their career, the band has fused various elements of alternative rock, punk, rap, funk, heavy metal and psychedelic rock. They have sold 60 million records worldwide and hold the record for most number one singles on the Billboard Modern Rock Chart - 11.
Muse
Both Matthew Bellamy and Dominic Howard saw the Red Hot Chili Peppers at Reading festival when they were in the range of 15 and 16 years old,[1] which Bellamy claimed contributed to him thinking that headlining a festival is the "top" of being a live band.[2] Later, Muse supported the Red Hot Chili peppers for a series of gigs in 1999, during which a number of Origin of Symmetry songs took shape.[3]
