'''London Stadium''', formerly known as '''Olympic Stadium''' and The Stadium at '''Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park''', is a multi-purpose outdoor stadium located at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, London. The stadium was built for the 2012 London Olympic Games and served as the opening/closing ceremony site and the venue for track and field sports. Additionally, the stadium also hosted many athletic championships and the 2015 Rugby World Cup. In 2019, the stadium also hosted thef irst US Major League Baseball game in Europe.
 
The stadium is currently rented by UK Athletics and West Ham United F.C..
 
It is the sixth biggest stadium in the UK by capacity, with 66,000 seats. For concerts, the capacity can be raised by nearly 14,000, getting up to 79,990.
