The Rakes are a rock band from the UK, consisting of Alan Donohoe for vocals, Jamie Hornsmith on bass guitar, Lasse Petersen on percussion and Matthew Swinnerton on guitar.
In March 2007, Donohoe and Petersen described Muse as "a radiohead [sic] deritative [sic] - a radiofoot if u [sic] will", while Hornsmith and Swinnerton described Muse as a "pile of horse shi*te". This was in response to the question "Who is better out of Muse and Radiohead?".[1]
Muselive.com proceeded to publish this as a news post,[2] and following this a member set up a poll in favour of Muse on The Rake's forum.[3]
