First gig in LA...

According to this source from which this article is based, this was the first gig in LA. That's not the case, that was the previous year. I suspect Mr. Bellamy recalled wrong, he was probably thinking of the 1998 CMJ gig, the actual first gig in America, which two "scouts" attended according to former Muse manager Safta Jaffery. Also considering he mentions both Columbia and Maverick representatives in the audience.

I'm still wondering whether the Mercury Lounge gig was CMJ... I wonder whether the official gig database had the date wrong, or whether some bands performed outside the apparent spanning from 4th to 7th of November. --Tene 16:03, 22 April 2008 (BST)
