Desert Diamond Arena

Desert Diamond Arena (formerly known as Glendale Arena between 2003 and 2006, Jobing.com Arena between 2006 and 2014 and Gila River Arena between 2014 and 2022), is an indoor multi-purpose venue, located in the Glendale area of Phoenix, Arizona. The arena opened in 2003, designed by HOK Sport.It is owned by the City of Glendale and operated by ASM Global, a subsidiary of the Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG). It's name comes from a partnership between the Desert Diamond Casino company.

The arena used to be home to NHL's Arizona Coyotes, NLL's Arizona Sting (who held the first sporting event in the arena in 2004), and currently serves as an occasional game for NCAA's Arizona State Sun Devils ice hockey team, and also served as a temporary home to Arizona Rattlers arena football team. Since 2005, the arena's been host to Arizona State's high school basketball, volleyball, wrestling and cheerleading tournaments, during an event called "February Frenzy". In 2021, the arena held its highest grossing event, "UFC 263: Adesanya vs. Vettori 2". Other events that were held in the arena include events from World Extreme Cagefighting, Street League Skateboarding, Nitro Circus Live and WWE SmackDown. It also hosted several shows from Cirque du Soleil Radio City Christmas Spectacular and Sesame Street Live. Since 2022, the arena's home to PBR’s Arizona Ridge Riders.

Musical acts who performed at the arena include Prince, Rod Stewart, Usher, Toby Keith, Britney Spears (all of whom have held a string of inaugural concerts when the arena opened), U2, Rage Against The Machine, Billie Eilish, Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney and many more.
