I'm hungry for some unrest
I'm hungry for some unrest
I'm gonna push it beyond peaceful protest
Well let's push it beyond peaceful protest
I wanna speak in a language they will understand
I wanna speak in a language that you will understand

Can't you balance this commotion
Counter balance this commotion
We're not droplets in the ocean

Description

"Unnatural Selection" opens with a church organ before drums and "powerful" sounding guitars begin, calming down afterwards, before coming back to a 'metallic' end riff.[3] Going on to be one of the more guitar-driven songs on The Resistance.[4]

Additional information

Christopher Wolstenholme thinks that the song might address the idea of the British royal family being descendants of giant lizards, as proposed by David Icke among others.[5]

Lyrics

Incomplete and possibly incorrect

They laugh as they watch us fall
The lucky don't care at all
No chance for fate
It's Unnatural Selection
I want the truth!

I'm hungry for some unrest
I'm gonna push it beyond peaceful protest
I wanna speak in a language they will understand

Dedication to a new age
This is the era of destruction and rampage
Another chance to raise a little ??? again

Can't you balance this commotion
We're not droplets in the ocean
ocean

They laugh as they watch us crawl
The lucky don't care at all
No chance for fate
It's Unnatural Selection
I want the truth!

No illusion of the powers
??? that they will find us
Just make sure you are looking out for number one

I'm hungry for some unrest
Well let's push it beyond peaceful protest
I wanna speak in a language that you will understand

Counter balance this commotion
We're not droplets in the ocean
Ocean!

They laugh as they watch us crawl
The lucky don't care at all
No hope for fate
It's a random chance selection
I want the truth!

Try to ride out the storm,
I'll still make you believe
They are the special ones
We have not been chosen

Leave ??? [easier to run?]
You won't be the first
And you know you won't be the last
???

Can't you balance this commotion,
We're not droplets in the ocean
ocean, ocean!

They laugh as they watch us fall
The lucky don't care at all
No chance for fate,
It's unnatural selection,
I want the truth, I want the truth,
I want the truth! I want the truth!
