Chaifetz Arena

Chaifetz Arena is an indoor multi-purpose arena located in the Midtown district of St. Louis, Missouri, on the campus of Saint Louis University . The arena opened in 2008 and was designed by architectural firms Sink Combs Dethlefs and Mackey Mitchell Associates. The arena got it's name in honor of Richard Chaifetz, a Chicago-based businessman, who made a 12 million dollar donation to the university in 2007. The arena's capacity sits at 10,600. Attached to the arena is also the Chaifetz Pavillion, which houses a two-court basketball and volleyball practice facility and another 800-seat venue, home to the university's volleyball teams. The arena is nicknamed "The Jewel of Midtown".

Chaifetz Arena is home to Saint Louis Billikens men's and women's basketball teams of NCAA Division I. Sporting events that took place inside the arena include the match between Harlem Globetrotters and Washington Generals (which was also the first event to take place inside the arena after it's opening), the USA Gymnastics Championship in 2012, the 2016 Men's U.S. Olympic Trials and P&G Gymnastics Championships and several WWE events including the SummerSlam Heatwave. In 2019, the arena held the League of Legends North American LCS spring finals and FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics held their FIRST Regional Championships at the arena for several years.

Musical acts who performed in the arena include The Black Keys, Bruce Springsteen (who performed to the largest sold-out crowd in arena's history), Migos, Tool, A Perfect Circle, Mac Miller and more.

Other events that took place inside the arena include the American Idols Live! in 2009, Champions on Ice, several Cirque du Soleil shows, and the 2008 political rally for Sarah Palin.
