Petrovsky Stadium

Petrovsky Stadium (formerly known as Lenin Stadium between 1925 and 1992) is a multi-purpose stadium, located in Saint Petersburg, Russia, as part of the Petrovsky Sport Complex. The stadium has a capacity of 21,405 and is owned by FC Zenit. It's primarily used for football games but is also used for athletics.

The first stadium at this location was designed by Czech architect Aloise Wejwoda and was built in 1925. During WWWII, the stadium was completely destroyed and was rebuilt between 1957 and 1961 by architects N.V. Baranov, O.I. Guryev and V.M. Fromzel. The stadium was also used for the 1980 Olympics. Before the Olympic Games, the stadium underwent a major reconstruction.

As mentioned above, the stadium hosted part of the soccer tournament of the 1980 Summer Olympic Games. It also hosted the 1994 Goodwill Games. Between 1994 and 2017, it was the home to FC Zenit Saint Petersburg. For the 2017/18, FC Tosno also used the stadium. It's currently used by FC Zenit-2 for selected matches. The stadium also hosted the Russian edition of the annual Tuborg GreenFest. As such, it hosted concerts by artists like Linkin Park, 30 Seconds to Mars, Limp Bizkit, P!nk and more. Muse performed at the festival in 2015.
