RAC Arena

RAC Arena (formerly known as Perth Arena) is an indoor multi-purpose arena, located in Perth, Western Australia. The arena is located near the former Perth Entertainment Centre. Opened in 2012, it is the first stage of the Perth City Link, a major urban renewal and redevelopment project. The arena was designed by Ashton Raggatt McDougall and d Cameron Chisholm Nicol architectural firms. The neofuturistic design is based on the Eternity Puzzle. It's maximum capacity sits at 15,500. The arena is owned by VenuesWest and operated by AEG Ogden. Since 2018, it's named after the Royal Automobile Club of Western Australia (RAC). One of the main features of the arena is a retractable roof.

The arena is home to Perth Wildcats of the NBL and West Coast Fever of SSN. It's former tennant is the Hopman Cup tennis tournament. The arena hosted several NBL (National Basketball League) games aswell as a few netball games, including the 2018 Super Netball Grand Final. The arena also hosted the 2019 Hopman Cup and the 2019 Fed Cup Final. In 2018, the arena hosted the UFC 221 event and has also hosted the WWE Live Tour in 2014.

Musical artists who performed at the arena include Black Sabbath, Bruno Mars, Arctic Monkeys, Robbie Williams, Prince, Green Day, Hans Zimmer, The Prodigy, Leonard Cohen, Elton John and more.
