First gig of the Drones Festivals Tour 2015

Information

Muse headlined the festival on May 23rd, 2015, supported by 5 Seconds of Summer, Ben Howard, Charli XCX, David Guetta, Fall Out Boy, Florence + The Machine and The Vaccines.[2]

This is the first time in nine years since Muse performed at the main stage of BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend. Their last performance was in 2006, and it was the first performance in the Black Holes and Revelations era.

First gig where Psycho wasn't the opener since it's first appearance and also the first gig where Reapers opened the set.

Hullaballoons were released during Bliss. Confetti were released during Mercy.

This gig also marked the debut of the Manson Matt Black 2.0 #4 and #5, Manson Matt Black Stealth #2 and #3, Manson Copper Bomber 2.0, Manson Matt Black Stealth 2.0 and the Manson Mirror 2.0.

Media & BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend 2020

The gig was broadcast live on BBC Radio 1 and on the BBC website itself. The oerformance of Mercy was uploaded on the official BBC Radio 1 YouTube channel while the performance of Reapers was uploaded on YouTube by a fan. Both can be seen in the setlist below. The highlights video from the performance can also be seen on the BBC Radio 1 website here.

On May 18th, 2020, it was announced by Muse that they and the recording of this performance would be one of the headliners of the 2020 virtual edition of the Big Weekend, nicknamed the "Remote Big Weekend" as artist's performances from a few previous Big Weekends will be available online and via streaming, due to the coronavirus pandemic and the abscence of festivals. Muse's performance will be streamed on Sunday, May 24th, at 18:00, UK Time. [3]
