Nicholas John Cester (or, in short, known as Nic Cester) is an Australian singer, guitarist, and songwriter, most known for being the frontman of the Australian rock band Jet, together with his brother, Chris Cester. Born in Melbourne, in 1979, he's been active in the music sphere ever since 1996, when he formed a high school band with Cameron Muncey. Both of them would then go on to form Jet, taking Chris Cester and Mark Wilson on board with them. In 2004, Cester formed a supergroup, called "The Wrights", which would be active between 2004 and 2007. Jet went on a hiatus in 2012, so Cester focused on his solo career. In 2017, he released his first solo album, "Sugar Rush".

Cester lives in the locality of Lake Como (as did Bellamy). The latter met Cester in said locality prior to Christmas of 2006, and shortly thereafter, the two had a drinking session, which was reported by The Advertiser as having been "a big night".[1] The two have been good friends since then. During the 2010 Big Day Out concerts, which both Muse and Jet were performing at, Cester performed vocals for Muse's rendition of Back in Black. Bar one pre-Big-Day-Out rehearsal for which a fan performed vocals, Cester has sung for the band during the 2010 Big Day Out concerts as well as during the 2010 Stadium Tour.

In 2017, Cester joined Howard and Bellamy in what was to be an one-off wedding cover band/supergroup, The Jaded Hearts Club, providing vocals, alongside Miles Kane.
