Announced on the 7th of June, Muse performed inside the O2 Arena for two consecutive nights, as part of the European The 2nd Law tour.[1]
A pre-sale lottery was carried out by Crowdsurge between the announcement and 18:00 on the 10th, in which standing but not seated tickets could be applied for.[1] A conventional pre-sale through Gigsandtours took place between 09:00 and 10:00 on the 14th, before general sale started at 10:00 the same day.[3]
The gig marked the first time Sunburn was played live since 14th December 2010. The Joy Formidable were due to support Muse on this date but had to withdraw earlier in the day due to Illness. fIN a band from South West London filled in the slot at last minute(only knowing they were due to play at 1pm that afternoon)
