Lockjaw is an independent record label, founded in February 1997 by the family of punk rock band Tribute to Nothing.[1]

The first Muse release, an early version of Twin entitled Balloonatic, was published on the compilation "Helping You Back to Work volume 1"[2] in July 1997. Shortly afterwards Muse's manager at the time, Philip Korthals, asked Lockjaw to sign Muse and release their first single. Lockjaw declined due to insufficient funds.[1]
