MUSE WIN ONE AT THE BRITS

Teignmouth's supergroup Muse were among the winners at the Brit Awards last night.

The three-piece band, who grew up and met in South Devon, picked up the Best British Live Act award at the ceremony at Earls Court.The band were up for four awards - Best British Band, Best Live Band, Best Album for Supermassive Black Hole [sic] and Best Track but only came away with one award.

The Devon trio gave out a Valentine's message as they arrived on stage telling the crowd: "To all you lovers out there, Happy Valentine's day".

The band beat off competition from mega-stars Robbie Williams and George Michael.

The show was screened live for the first time in years and hosted by Russell Brand.
