All tremolo picked Intro/Verse: e|--6///10\\\5///10\\\3///11\\\5///9\\\--| B|--------------------------------------| G|--------------------------------------| D|--------------------------------------| A|--------------------------------------| E|--------------------------------------| Play that through twice as the "oooh" vocal comes in, then again starting as Matt sings "Don't grow up to fast" Solo: Sweep delay. Fuzz settings: Gate:7, Comp:12, Drive:12, Stab:~7. This is using the "clock" system (i.e. the Comp knob is pointing to 12 o'clock, or straight up.) Studio version uses a fade-in, a similar effect could be gained using a volume pedal, I'd imagine. For the live version, Matt starts with the Comp at about 5 and twists it up to 12. He sometimes plays with the Stab to alter the pitch as he's doing it. e|--------------------------------------| B|--------------------------------------| G|--3///7\\\2///7\\\0///8\\\2///6\\\----| D|--------------------------------------| A|--------------------------------------| E|--------------------------------------| Play through twice, then play: e|-----------------------------------------------------------------------| B|---------------------------------19--20--22b22-22-22r--20--19----------| G|-12///14///15///17///19///20-22--------------------------------19--19--| D|-----------------------------------------------------------------------| A|-----------------------------------------------------------------------| E|-----------------------------------------------------------------------| Play this again through the last verse. After the end of the final line, turn the Comp on the Fuzz back down to 5 if you're play the live version. For the studio ending, end on Bb chord (x1333x)
