The name of the song was mentioned by Matt while speaking with Matt Wilkinson on Beats 1 Radio on February 16th, 2018. According to Matt the song blends a bit of classical romantic piano with 80s synths/computer game music.

Additional information

The Qmagazine made a preview of Simulation Theory on 23th October, and they said this about the song: "Opener Algorithm sounds like it could be from Daft Punk's Tron: Legacy soundtrack, a fusion of dramatic strings and industrial electro."

The song has also been compared by various reviewers to Apocalypse Please and Supremacy.

This song, alongside other yet unreleased songs, was leaked in a series of short 20 second video clips showing the vinyl player.

Music video

A very short bit of the music video was first shown by Matt during an interview on Virgin Radio Milan, saying that they plan to release the music video once the album comes out. He also showed bits of it to the fans.
