Like any good composer who follows musical conventions, Matt often uses the harmonic minor scale, which is a minor scale with the 7th degree raised by a half step to create a leading tone that wants to be resolved to the tonic. One of the primary effects of this change--and the dead giveaway to identifying these scales--is that the v chord becomes a V chord (e.g., in the key of Cm, gm becomes G). Let's see how many of these we can find. Feel free to contribute to both the information and the organization.
