Bear Hands are an American post-punk and indie rock band from Brooklyn, New York, consisting of Dylan Rau (vocals and guitar), Val Loper (bass), Ted Feldman (guitar) and TJ Orscher (drums). They formed in 2006 and released their first EP, called ''Gold'' which made them become a "New York buzz band" due to popular blog features.

Their first LP was released in 2010, after the band signed to Cantora Records called ''Burning Bush Supper Club''. The album brought them several opening act slots for several bands such as Passion Pit, Gza, and We Were Promised Jetpacks.

In 2014, their second LP was released, called ''Distraction''. The single for the song ''Giants'' off of this album became a top-ten hit on the Alternative Songs chart in mid-2014.
A TV promo show in support of [[Drones (album)|Drones]].  


Two years later, in 2016, they released their third LP called ''You'll Pay for This'' and in 2019, their latest LP called ''Fake Tunes'' was released. In the same year, they supported [[Twenty One Pilots]] on the Bandito Tour.

Bear Hands supported Muse in 2015 during the [[Psycho US Tour]] at the [[New York City Webster Hall 2015 (gig)|Webster Hall]] gig in NYC.
Announced on May 20th, 2015, Muse were musical guests on the Graham Norton Show S17E9 in 2015 (incl. guests Samuel L. Jackson, Stephen Merchant and Amy Schumer). A short post-performance interview with Muse (Dom and Matt) was also conducted.
