Robert Johnson is the most legendary guitar player of the delta blues era in the American south. According to legend, he met the devil at the crossroads to sell his soul in exchange for being the best guitar player ever. He has been cited as a key influence by guitar gods Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Pete Townshend, B.B. King, Keith Richards, Jeff Beck, and most recently, Matt Bellamy. Also credited by great song writers such as Bob Dylan and John Lennon.
