Announced on the 30th of October, 2018, the band headlined the last night of Rock In Rio 2019 with [[Imagine Dragons]] and Nickelback. It was the second day of the festival to completely sell out.<ref name = "Tickets" />
The gig was streamed live on multiple services, including Brazilian website G1 and LiveXLive.<ref name = "Stream">[https://www.muse.mu/news/rock-rio-live-stream-322071 LiveXLive stream announcement]</ref>
 
It was the largest capacity single-night gig of the [[Simulation Theory World Tour]], with 100,000 tickets sold out in a single day.
 
The setlist was shortened in comparison to previous gigs of the same tour due to time constraints, lacking Break It To Me, Houston Jam and Take a Bow.
