Analysis and Explanation

Follow Me was a live staple during The 2nd Law Tour, appearing at virtually every gig, giving it the second highest performance count from that era of any song with the sole exception of Madness. However, after the conclusion of the tour in 2013, the song was dropped from the setlists. The band did acknowledge the song during the Drones Tour, at one point taking a photo of a truck with a flashing "FOLLOW ME" light on its roof, but have yet to bring the song back. While it looks unlikely it will be played live again anytime soon, it was a setlist option at the 2017 Shepherd's Bush Empire by request gig, indicating the band haven't given up on the song yet.

Early performances of the song featured Matt on guitar, but starting with the Arena Tour Matt plays no instrument, and instead just sings and walks around on the stage. Many performance often had C02 cannons blast off at the end of the song.
