Background

These guitars are in terms of specification exactly the same as the Manson Matt Black Stealth 2.0. They both feature the old manson logo on their necks, as do their covered Psychopaf PF-1 Humbucker pickups.

They were handed over to Matt during May rehearsals for the EU/UK leg of the Simulation Theory Tour 2019 at AIR Studios.

Touring

The MB-1 Blue guitars were thought to have been planned for live use at some point during the Simulation Theory World Tour, though they were ultimately never used. Nevertheless, the guitars were still seen on display with Manson's other guitars at the Manson guitar stand on tour with Muse during Simulation Theory Tour's UK and France legs.

Surprisingly, the MB-1 Blue #1 made its first appearance in Guadalajara during the Will of the People World Tour for Madness and was used for various songs during the rest of the American leg of the tour. The guitar was used again during the last show of the summer in Malaysia and the last show of the year in Mexico.

The european leg started with the Manson TronCaster being used in its place, until the MB-1 Blue #2 made its first appearance in Lyon in June. The guitar almost survived completely unscathed as it was only used for Time is Running Out, Madness and Resistance (which are not songs in which Matt tends to smash guitars), however Matt smashed the guitar multiple times during the surprise performance of Showbiz at Rock Werchter 2023. The guitar has not been used since, with Manson Holoflake #3 being used instead during the subsequent European shows that year, leading most to assume the guitar has been damaged beyond use.
