Of Matthew Bellamy, Machine Head bassist Adam Duce exclaimed "badass" guitar playing, him having an "awesome" voice and a feeling of "almost" wanting to kill him, due to these attributes. He also described Christopher Wolstenholme as being "no slouch". Both of these appraisals were relayed through the third person by Kerrang Magazine's Tom Bryant, from Duce's attendance of Muse's Dubai Desert Rock 2008 performance.[1]
