Following signing the contract for an independent label, he started working on the album ''Nickel and Dime'' in 2012, which he shortly abandoned after saying he wasn't proud of the songs he was writing. In 2013 however, he started writing songs again and in 2014 released his first EP ''Remnants''. After being playlisted on BBC Radio 1 and headlining the BBC Introducing stage of the Reading and Leeds festivals, performing at the iTunes festival and supporting Mumford and Sons in 2015, he released his debut LP ''Phase'' on February 19th, 2016, which was awarded with the Critics' Choice Award at the 2016 Brit Awards. | |||
