A GREAT YEAR FOR BEST LIVE ROCKERS

11:00 - 22 February 2007

Teignmouth rockers Muse have just chalked up a hat trick of successes.

Fresh from their triumph at the Brits, they are all set to headline one of the top summer festivals. The Teignmouth trio will top the bill on the Saturday night at the legendary Isle of Wight Festival, from June 8 to 10.

They are already booked to open the new £800 million Wembley stadium, and 2007 could be their most successful year yet.

The trio were voted the best live act at the Brits last week, and have also collected a host of other 'minor' awards.

Muse will be rocking the Solent along with Snow Patrol, who headline the Friday night, and the tickets, which go on sale today are expected to be snapped up within hours.

The festival at Seaclose Park, Newport, will also feature Keane, The Fratelis, Paulo Nutini and James Morrison, and there are rumours that Genesis, the Police or the Rolling Stones could top the Sunday spot.

Muse frontman Matt Bellamy said: "The past year has been truly amazing for us, and performing live is what we are all about.

"Getting the opportunity to do that at the Isle of Wight Festival is an honour. Some of our biggest heroes played there in the 70s. It's steeped in history and we can't wait to be part of the show."
