Scotiabank Saddledome, originally known as Olympic Saddledome and later known as Canadian Airlines Saddledome and Pengrowth Saddledome, is an indoor multi-purpose arena located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The arena was built in 1983, designed by GEC Architecture, and replaced the Stampede Corral as the home of the Calgary Flames of the NHL and to host the ice hockey and figure skating competitions at the 1988 Winter Olympics. Originally, its capacity was at 16,605 but it has been expanded by over 2,600 for the Olympics. With the capacity of 20,016, it was the largest arena used at the 1988 Winter Games. The arena underwent a major renovation in 1994 through 1995 and sold its naming rights to Canadian Airlines. In 2000, the naming rights were sold to Pengrowth Management Ltd. and in 2010, they were sold to Scotiabank. The arena is owned by the City of Calgary and remains home to Calgary Flames, joined by Calgary Hitmen of WHL and Calgary Roughnecks of NLL. Previous tennants include Calgary 88s of WBL, Calgary Rad'z of RHI and Calgary Outlaws of NBL.

In 2013, the arena was impacted by the Alberta floods. It was flooded up to eighth row and the event level was, according to Ken King, president of the Calgary Sports and Entertainment Corporation, a "total loss". The facility underwent repairs and was granted its occupancy permit in late August, 2013.

Apart from the olympics, Scotiabank Saddledome hosted several ice hockey games for NHL, including the 1985 NHL All-Star Game and the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. It hosted three Stanley Cup finals, in 1986, 1989 and 2004. The arena has also hosted several NLL games, including the Champion's Cup games in 2004, 2009 and 2019. It was one of the venues for the 2012 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships. The arena also hosted the 1995 Tournament of Hearts, the 1997, 2002, 2009 and 2015 Brier men's curling championships, and the 1997 WWF Stampede Pay-Per-View event. Musical acts who performed at the arena include The Moody Blues, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Rod Stewart, Def Leppard, Nine Inch Nails, Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Iron Maiden and more. In 2009, the arena hosted a public address by Dalai Lama. In 2005, Queen Elizabeth II attended a cellebration of Alberta's Centennial, which took place at the arena.
