Matt Bellamy along with his ex-fiancé Kate Hudson was a co-owner of Hudson Bellamy Wines from 2011 to at least 2016.

They were based in Los Alamos, NM[1], and the proceeds benefited The Goldie Hawn Foundation, which is dedicated to improving the wellbeing of children in need by equipping them with life skills.

History

According to an interview in 2015, Kate Hudson said "Kurt Russell, my stepdad, started making wine a few years back up in the Santa Rita Hills, and he kept telling me and Matt that we had to get up and blend with them and do a harvest. We ended slogging up there, and that was it. It was too much fun. It was something we enjoyed doing together, just a wonderful pastime and incredible creative experience."[2]

In the same interview, regarding the reports that Hudson and Bellamy weren't together anymore, Hudson said "We’re family for the rest of our lives, we have a beautiful baby and we love making wine. We’ll continue doing it."

In 2014, Hudson Bellamy Wines announced a collaboration with FarmVille 2: Country Escape, the online game which allows players to take on a virtual avatar and tend a virtual farm.[3]
